Rosemounda "Peggy" Butler
for South Carolina Secretary of State
I am running for South Carolina Secretary of State because I want to help South Carolina become one of the top states in America to do business. I am a small business owner, a former Mayor Pro Tem of West Columbia City Council and the First African American elected to City Council. I want to ensure that small business owners get the resources needed to create thriving business and more jobs in SC. I want to create a minority task force to assist small businesses in receiving funding from the Small Business Administration Grants that are being provided by the federal government as diversity and inclusion is paramount in building a better and brighter future for SC. It is imperative that we recruit companies to SC that will pay higher wages to their employees as well as create incentives for small business that will enable them to pay their employees a decent salary. SC can do so much more to attract larger businesses in order to keep our college graduates in the state to increase our workforce. Our young adults actually would love to live and work in their home state, but often go out of state of more lucrative opportunities. South Carolina has what is needed to be a beacon of entrepreneurship for the country. We just need to ignite it.
I am Rosemounda Peggy Butler and I am humbly asking for your vote for Secretary of State. Together we can make a difference.
